Kate and Hazel: Camp Little Red Door

At Little Red Door Cancer Agency, we've had the opportunity to help families send their children to Camp Little Red Door at Bradford Woods for many years. Enter Kate and Hazel: Kate first attended Camp Little Red Door in 2001. She returned to Camp Little Red Door in the City this year as a volunteer where she met 5 year old Hazel. Kate and Hazel hit it off immediately. They both share the same diagnosis – leukemia. Post camp, Kate and Hazel have stayed in regular communication with one another. Hazel’s mom, Holly shares “seeing someone like Kate gives me so much hope that Hazel will make it through this and live a long, happy, healthy life.”
