What is the charitable cause you are most passionate about and why?

Leukemia and Lymphoma (LL) is the cause I'm more passionate about. In May of 1997 my mother was diagnosed with LL; this diagnosis came so unexpected. My mother fought hard for months, underwent chemo and radiation, ultimately being cancer free by Oct. Unfortunately, that cancer-free period was short lived, by Dec of 97 she went back to the hospital, passing on Dec 23, 1997. Since then I've been doing my small part by donating to several Leukemia and Lymphoma charities through CFC. Our donations do make a difference!

What is the charitable cause you are most passionate about and why?

My most charitable cause I am passionate about is the American Diabetes Association. The reason why I'm so passionate about this charity is because my twin brother has battled with Type I and II diabetes as a young adolescent and even today as an adult. The adverse effect it takes on a person I would wish that for anyone. Seeing young and older people having to in some cases attend dialysis three to four times a week saddens me. I pray there is a cure for this someday.

Why do you give through the CFC?

I give in efforts for doctors and scientists to be able to have the funding to research a cure as well as assist hospitals to be able to accommodate those who struggle either with medical bills, transportation arrangements as well as promote preventative care etc...

How do contributions through the CFC help your cause?

My contributions aides in research, assisting promoting prevention and education.

What is the charitable cause you are most passionate about and why?

Boston Children's Hospital:
My daughter Mackenzie was an eight grade student and athlete at Mount Greylock Regional High School in Williamstown, MA. At some point we became aware of the fact that her health was failing to the point where she was no longer able to participate in athletics or concentrate on her school work. After numerous visits to medical facilities we were left with no answers and a child whose health was failing in front of our eyes. We somehow became aware of the services offered by Boston Children's Hospital and contacted them for assistance. The staff at Children's initiated an exhaustive evaluation of my daughter and concluded that she was suffering from a thyroid disorder as well as diabetes 1. After a team deliberation and a series of treatments and therapy, Mackenzie was able to get her life back and return as a student and talented athlete at the High School level. Mackenzie is now a Practicing Speech Language Pathologist in Virginia and well on her way to an amazing career and I believe we owe it all to the intuitive staff at Boston Children's Hospital. We will forever be grateful for their Professionalism, efficiency, and compassion.

Why do you give through the CFC?

Because it helps create opportunities for people in need.

How do contributions through the CFC help your cause?

Contributions through CFC empower brilliant minds to make the impossible achievable.
