You Can Help Animals Like Bella

The animals helped at Norfolk Animal Care and Adoption Center (NACC) are grateful for people in the community, like you. Your generosity has enabled 3,200+ animals access to the life saving gifts of medical care and the loving shelter of a forever home.

Meet Bella -- a 9-year-old beagle who was brought to NACC by animal control with open bleeding, infected wounds on her front limbs. After several days in the hospital, she was returned to NACC. Bella was terrified, not eating, and not wanting to be touched. On top of this, she was diagnosed with hypothyroidism. The knowledgeable and caring staff at NACC worked together to keep her wounds clean, administer medication, and show her love. Slowly, she came out of her shell and started to show her sweet personality with consistent tail wagging and finally, that beagle howl! Soon after, she was adopted by a loving couple.
