Saving Winston

Without support from our community, Winston wouldn’t be alive today. He was brought to our San Diego Campus after being attacked by another animal. At just two months old, this gentle pup suffered a fractured skull and damage to his eyes that left him completely blind.
But veterinarians at our state-of-the-art Pilar & Chuck Bahde Center for Shelter Medicine were able to perform the surgeries needed to remove one of his eyes, heal his broken bones and give him plenty of love while he recovered. He was placed in a foster home so he could heal in a comfortable home environment — and when he was ready to find his new family, he was quickly adopted.
Today, Winston’s pain is behind him and he has a loving new home! Winston is one of nearly 50,000 animals who are relying on us for a second chance this year. Your generous support will make incredible transformations like his possible.
