Our Success Depends on You: Be the Face of Change to Children Battling Cancer
The success of Fabulous Faith’s Foundation comes from your faithful support. During the COVID-19 pandemic, many childhood cancer foundations suspended or reduced their family assistance programs. However, during this difficult time, Fabulous Faith’s Foundation has doubled the number of family assistance grants we offer thanks to the reliable contributions provided by the Combined Federal Campaign. Your donations directly impact the lives of children fighting cancer right here in the North Texas community. Below is an excerpt from one of the family assistance grants we recently funded from a request by one of the social workers at Children’s Medical Center in Dallas.
“The patient has been undergoing numerous rounds of chemotherapy as well as radiation treatment. She is a beautiful, bright little girl who cheers others up with her sweet disposition. She gives small plastic heart tokens to staff as gifts of appreciation. I carry my red heart token in my jacket and pray for her every time I reach into my pocket. She has 2 siblings and her dad works for a company that does contract labor for hospitals. Due to COVID-19, they have been shut out of most places and Dad’s income has been drastically reduced. The family is very grateful for your prayers and support.”
This is an excerpt from a family assistance grant we provided from a social worker request at Cook Children’s Medical Center in Fort Worth.
“The patient is receiving treatment for Osteosarcoma of the right femur. He has had 18 admissions since diagnosis with multiple limb-sparing surgeries. The patient resides with his mother and 2 siblings and the mother is the primary breadwinner. At this time, they are struggling to pay rent and any assistance will be greatly appreciated.”
Besides giving financial assistance directly to families of children fighting cancer, Fabulous Faith’s Foundation also recently provided meals and bottled water to families at Ronald McDonald House in Forth Worth on two different occasions. The attached picture also has a guest appearance from “Chief” the house dog that we helped provide. Chief and other therapy animals bring so much joy and comfort to kids while they endure the hardship of their cancer journey.
These are just a few examples from the past few months of how your support is essential for our success. Fabulous Faith’s Foundation is operated 100% by volunteers, so you can rest assured that your money is going to the cause of fighting childhood cancer instead of paying expensive salaries.
