Jeremy's Story

Jeremy (the name we gave him) was left at the Norfolk SPCA with a bin of his belongings.

A bin with a Snoopy blanket, toy, empty bowl and plastic food dish with food, were left at the shelter's front door. But where was the dog? Huddled across the street against a metal garage door sat Jeremy, an 11-week old Plott hound puppy. Barely able to walk and vomiting, he tested positive for Parvovirus - a disease found most often in unvaccinated puppies that can be fatal. Rushed to our small quarantine room at the shelter, Jeremy began immediate treatment under the guidance of our Veterinary Clinic. The Norfolk SPCA stands ready to save sick and homeless animals, like Jeremy. Our ability to provide immediate medical care and ongoing support is only made possible thanks to the support of animal welfare champions like you. From our hardworking CARE Team and volunteers to our generous donors, we know Jeremy, and other like him, have the support they need to survive and find a forever home. Be a lifeline for an animal in need through a contribution. Your compassionate gift will have a profound impact on animals in need of a second chance.
