“Despite very daunting circumstances in 2020, Small Sums was able to help over 500 people with the work items needed to take much needed jobs. Thanks to the quick help from organizations like Open Your Heart to the Hungry and Homeless, we were able to continue our simple, practical and powerful help uninterrupted during the Covid-19 pandemic and civil unrest following the George Floyd murder in the Twin Cities metro area. Your generous donation allowed us to provide bus passes to 254 people taking essential worker jobs in hospitals, retail and grocery stores, construction work as well as other needed jobs throughout the Twin Cities. These bus passes not only provided a safe and reliable way to work for our clients, but also helped keep our communities functioning throughout the global pandemic.” – Small Sums
