"Fore Joey"- 18 HOLES MAKE DIRECT IMPACT ON CANCER PATIENTS
On Aug 7, 2021 18 Teams participated in the 6th annual JM Chubbuck Foundation Golf Tournament at Rome County Club. Proceeds were used in the JMCF Patient Assistance Program, The Nutritional Education and Support Outreach Program, and the Patient Transport Program. The Chubbuck Foundation offers direct finacial assists to cancer patients in treatment. Rent, needed transport, and needed equipment/supplies is paid directly by foundation to landlord/vendors. Gift cards are given to patients for gas and grocery use. The Foundation also hosts FREE monthly nutritional support workshops to help patients/ caregivers learn how to eat better during and after treatment. The Foundation services patients in Oneida, Herkimer, Madison, & Onondaga Counties. Over 700 patients have received some form of assistance since Jan of 2014. The JM Chubbuck Foundation CFC # 37353 was named after a Utica College Physics Major and NYS National Guardsmen that passed away (after a 17 month battle) from a rare form of cancer in 2013. He was 22 years old.
