"This year I will be giving to causes that help active duty personnel and veterans suffering from post-traumatic stress disorders as well as causes that provided mental health services for service members and their families. This past year has been tremendously tough for Americans - from natural disasters such as hurricanes and wildfires, to civil unrest, and of course, the unprecedented COVID-19 pandemic - all of these stressors are adding up and they are taking a toll on the health and well being of our service members and their families.
I want to contribute to those charities that can help our Service members and their families weather the stressors associated with military life, help build resilience, and give hope to those who feel that they don't have anywhere else to turn to for help. "
I give through the CFC because it is one of the best and simplest ways to learn about charitable causes and contribute to help others, especially military members and their families.
"While I have not yet picked the specific charities this year, I want my contributions to go to causes that can provide for mental health support to service members and their families.
I want these causes to help bring awareness to the issues of mental health; remove the stigmas associated with seeking mental health; and provide relief to those in need or direct them to where they can best get the help that they need. "
